Improve the page that should bring you customers.

Use evidence to find one SEO constraint, make one focused improvement, and measure whether it helped.

EXAMPLE DECISION · ILLUSTRATIVE

A long audit becomes one change you can test.

Sample page: a local service page with impressions but few clicks

Verified evidence
The page is indexable, but its title describes the company instead of the service and location people searched for.
This week’s change
Rewrite the accurate title and opening so they answer that search intent; keep the offer and page design unchanged.
Acceptance check
One canonical URL, one clear H1, accurate snippet copy, full build passes, and the rendered page matches the source.
Measure
Record clicks, impressions, click-through rate, position, and enquiries on deployment day, day 14, and day 28.
An illustrative decision record, not a ranking guarantee. The real recommendation must come from the live page and the evidence you provide.

A long SEO checklist can create a week of activity without improving the page that matters. This workflow starts with one page, one search intent, and one business action. It asks the assistant to show its evidence, choose the largest constraint, and make the smallest change that can be checked.

YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH

One implemented SEO improvement, a clear before-and-after record, and a measurement plan.

Your website and codebase · an AI coding assistant with web access · Google Search Console if available

01 / Choose one page and one job

Start with a page that already matters to your business: a service page, product page, comparison page, or useful guide. Name the action a qualified visitor should take after reading it. “Improve the whole site” is too broad for one useful pass.

Use the live URL and the actual source repository. The deployed page, local code, and analytics can disagree, so the assistant needs to distinguish what is written from what visitors and search engines can currently receive.

02 / Bring evidence, not a keyword wish list

Google Search Console is the most useful starting point when you have it. Export the last 90 days for the chosen page: queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position. Add the previous 90 days when seasonality is not likely to distort the comparison.

If you do not have Search Console access, continue with the live page, your customer language, and the search results you can verify. The assistant should label missing data instead of inventing traffic, ranking difficulty, or search volume.

03 / Let one constraint set the work

Ask the assistant to check whether the page can be crawled and indexed, whether its title and opening match the searcher’s job, whether useful proof is missing, and whether relevant pages link to it. Then make it rank the findings by likely impact and confidence.

The best first change may be technical, editorial, or an internal link. It should not be a generic rewrite. A focused change is easier to review, safer to deploy, and easier to measure.

  • Fix a blocked, redirected, duplicated, or incorrectly canonicalized page before polishing its wording.
  • When the page is technically healthy, improve the mismatch between the visitor’s question and the page’s answer.
  • Add structured data only when the visible page genuinely supports every field.
  • Do not create doorway pages, stuff keywords, copy competitors, or promise rankings.
